With that cam, is it neccessary to get new push rods? Are the comp 918 springs the preffered springs with a "lower" lift cam like this one?
New pushrods aren't "necessary" but are recommended for some cheap insurance. With stock, unmilled heads, a good hardened 7.4 pushrod is usually what's recommended for the majority of the aftermarket cam offerings out there. As for valve springs, I would personally go with PAC 1218's over the Comp 918's as the Comps have had a bit of a bad track record with breakages, while the PAC's have been near perfect, at least they have on this forum
