Default JBA shortys installed, my thoughts

Ok these mild steel JBAs that are pretty much a universal fit for any gen III truck are ok, maybe I should have purchased ASMs or other guys but anyhow. They were easy to install, what took the longest was modifying the ****. Had to oblong the two outside header bolt holes (drivers side), wouldn't sit flush with the bolt holes. Neither gaskets fit and had to be slightly modified so it wouldn't rub the (knock sensor) on the drivers side head. What pissed me off most was the dipstick bracket bolt had to be modified, it would collide with the header flanges. I guess i'm too used to replacing factory parts and not aftermarket will fit stuff. Their were some noticable gains, what I care about was some more seat of the pants feel. All in all JBAs are good quality but they are nothing close to being called OE replacement. Some small R&D on their behalve could fix this.
