Default Jerky feeling when lifting throttle

When ever I let off the throttle and let it coast I am getting a "jerky" feeling like something is pushing/pulling on the truck. It almost feels like small gusts of wind are pushing at the front of the truck in real quick blasts. I dont know if this would have to do with the tranny, engine or rearend. Has anyone else had a this problem with their truck?

Well, I wouldn't expect it in a 2003 model, but it kinda sounds like a motor mount, or tranny mount, has gone bad. It may be something else, but worth a check.

Yeah, I was thinking it could be the rearend but I dont have a posi so if it had to do with the rearend I dont know what it would be. On the other hand, it also feels like my friends Z28 did when his tranny mount went bad, but the truck only has 21,000 miles on it so I dont know if it would be that. Has anyone had any problems with either a non-posi rearend or tranny/engine mount?

I think I have the same problem and havent figured it out yet.

My plan of attack right now is posi and gears (probly wont fix it but ive wanted them ) then ill get my ujoints replaced/driveshaft balanced, then check all the mounts...

Post if you get any more good info

Yeah, I was thinking about going ahead and getting a posi w/gears to see if that is the problem, but I just dont hear much about non-posi rearends giving people much problem. I will also check all my mounts (especially the tranny mount). I really want to figure out what this is, it doesnt feel too good.

Is it a side to side motion, or a front to back like driveline drag?

I have a front to back feeling, but it's mild cam surge at lower speeds.

You're brakes don't pulse hard, do they? It could be a badly warped rotor.

On uneven pavement at parking lot speeds, I find the front of my truck has an odd side to side wobble when crossing over cracks in the road or other bumps. It feels as though the wheels are fighting each other for a brief second. It's not that, is it?
