13.83 without the 20s! that sucks they should run whay better than that theres no way they are that slow they should run a little better then that with the 20s! that guy you seen must of spun or did not know how to lawnch or something i mean guys with bone stock lightnings that are heavier and have less horsepower run 13.80s all day it does not make any sense

I wouldn't say they have less hp, if it was any less it might be by 10hp or so. A stock L will dyno 350 rwhp and 420tq. A stock JG might possibly put down that much hp but not that much torque.

03gmc the lightning is still heavier and i now for a fact that the joe gibbs is a little faster but all i was saying is that 13.80s seem off for the joe gibbs without the 20s and with smaller wheels and tires they should run lot better than that i mean you have a radix on your truck right and i know with out all of your other mods your truck would run better than 13.80s! right i would hope so.

I did a Google search on the JG trucks a few months ago when I installed a RADIX on my truck. For the 4.8L it is indeed 390 CRANK horsepower. Super Chevy may have got confused, I don't know. (Someone else do a Google to confirm/refute this?) My 4.8L w/ the RADIX puts down 314 Rear Wheel HP, so 390 Crank HP would be about right. Keep in mind though, that this is SAE NET HP, which is approx. 20% less than the SAE Gross numbers which were used in the 1960's.

i've heard 395 at the crank being underrated for the JG's 5.3 w/ charger
