With that cam in a LQ4 you wont loose any lowend, it will idle like stock. I dont think you would notice a lowend drop till you get into the mid 220's on a LQ4 but thats just my opinion.

That's cool that you are working the tune out by yourself, let us know how it goes.

well I cant take credit for the tune... 03sierraslt stopped by (here on business) and is helping me to get the idle down... he also found that one of my banks is dumping twice the fuel as the other, and has a misfire in the mix. My hats off to the guys that tune ...you all are in the rocket science tier.

I tried to get it down, but as 03sierra showed me...I have about 6 years of reading and learning before I should attempt a tune by myself. He showed me all kinds of stuff and was manipulating tables, comparing tables, applying tables, applying sensors to the config table...I have contacted blackbear and Wheatley and the latter of the two seems to be the one I will go with. Since I already have HP tuners, Wheatley can get my tune to me within the day. I just don't have the knowledge to tune it myself. Tweak yes, tune no.

Start small and work my way up.

I just want to put it out there...03Sierraslt is a very knowledgeable guy. Thank you Sir.

im just curious would this cam with the tune fully dialed in idle like stock? i want the powerband this cam has, but without any lope at all, i have been thinking about it for a long while but i want it to be truly undetectable...

i have been looking at the vinci ultra torque as an alternative (080)

After the tune, i will post another video. With a 4.8 or 5.3 I dont think you will get this cam to sound stock...maybe turn the idle up about 150 rpm more, maybe. In a 6.0L you will sound damn near stock.
