I see the 4L60E 4x4 output shafts all the time Like on ebay. I don't regularly search for 4L80E stuff though.

I am not sure about were you are but I have a few Transmission Supply Store's near me. Ones about 5-6 blocks away. I am always amazed when I have to go get something how inexspensive things can be...
for instance the early drum for the TH400 can be had for like $50-$60 through them but if you look on ebay or in some other places there $100 Plus...

If you can not find one locally, Hit me up and I will call them. It should be less then $10 to priority mail it to you if need be....

Thanks a lot man, who knows I may actually take you up on that one. I should be picking up my engine and trans in the next couple days, and once I figure a part list of what I need, and if I can't find everything I need I will def. hit you up. Nice to see there are nice guys like myself on here, of course likewise if I can help you out with anything over here, if you find something on ebay and need help to ship it or something.
Take Care,
Ray

I get on to forums like this to learn and better myself. I don't mind giving a little help back. Personally I think thats the way It should be.

I started breaking it down yesterday after work. Here are some of the pics of the break down...There is still plenty of work to come, porting the heads, swaping the cam, swaping the output shaft on the 4L80E to a 4wd, Swaping the input shaft on my transfer case and overhualing that since it has nearly 160k on it. etc etc...

Outside of looking like it lived it's life in a sand pit. everything looks to be in real good condition. The cylinder walls look nice from what can be seen. The ports in the heads don't look overly oily, like a bunch of these motors end up. I believe you canidate for a build.
