Default Just got a nice check. What do I need??

I just found out today that the lawsuit I started yesterday about my torn pec has already settled. Im getting 10K. Im not going to spend all of it (yet), but I would like to fix some shortcomings on my truck. My mods are in my sig and I want to do what needs to be done so that it will hold up to 12# or a little more boost and maybe a 75 shot. My tranny is stock other than the converter, servos, and cooler. Im also thinking about some Centerlines

Good to hear you are getting some compensation man!

I would at the very least keep some money set aside for a new tranny because you KNOW it's going to go.

Tell me about it. I USED TO BE a competitive body builder. I had the surgery a year ago and still havent regained 50% of my pre injury strength.
Im setting some aside for a new tranny. Im not going to spend a ton all at once, or much of it at all. Im thinking I may go ahead and get the 6.0 Ive been wanting with some ARP hardware and a cam. That with the FLP level 5 should be pretty nice. Well.....and a set of Centerlines
Im going to put most into the house.

I think your on the right track, I think the 6.0 with a few parts and a upgraded transmission is exactly what you need.

If it were me, I'd get the FLP L5 upfront. Nothing worse than getting all tuned and hearing that 1-2 shift sound like a blender.

Im thinking for the 3K they want for that, couldnt I get a 4L80 and new converter and have it installed??? Id like to do this once and have it done. Besides I cant do any of the install so that is a moot point.

you have that fat of a check sitting there and you havent ordered your STS yet? geez, i think you should just hand that check to me

EDIT: I just noticed you have a vortech, although if i had money to burn id go for the more torque of the turbo but a voteched 408 would be pretty sick.

i would most definetly get a 4l80 and get it put in. how is the supercharger working, I fit's still not producing what you want I would pull it off and sell it and get a 408 with a 10.1 compression and throw 200 shot on it for fun.
