A full exhaust setup with headers, ect... should get you around 20-25 without a tune and 35ish with. it will also give you another 3mpg. its worth it!

if you tune it you'll see a huge gain up top. I just got mine put in on monday and tuned it last night and its WAY faster than it was. I can be cruising 70 now and look down at the speedo saying 85 within 1-2 miles without realizing it.

get a shift kit and you should itch the road on your 1-2 shift easily.
I was VERY impressed in the power increase. Now i just gotta see what my mileage did.

It'll take a couple hours to install if you plan one changing the entire exhaust. If you do it yourself make sure you get the Front end up real high so you can get the headers in the right angle to go up into position.
You'll need to undo the steering arm on the drivers side (the bottom bolt) and pull the dipstick out on the pass side.

BTW.. DON'T FORGET TO TIGHTEN YOUR STEERING ARM BOLT WHEN YOU HOOK IT BACK UP.!.!.!
My brother was supposed to put that back together and he just screwed it back in a few turns. I got outside of town and noticed the steering was a little too lose. Pulled over and the screw was hanging there by about 3 threads.

3mpg for headers? I'd be shocked if you got 1.
You're cruising at like 15% load, dude. There is barely any air going in and out of the engine. It's making like 75hp. That exhaust can flow 360hp (stock + tune on LQ9 which has the same manifolds). Even at those power levels, it's only "restriction" 20hp, as you said. I'm sure those manifolds dont mind flowing 1/5th the air. You wont gain much due to the decreased pumping loss.

AT WOT, you might be able to squeeze in a few more degrees (1-2?) of timing because you wont have any residual exhaust in the cylinder heating things up. At part throttle, I seriously doubt you have that problem.
