pull the pushrods back out and make sure nothing is stuck inside of them. sounds like a rocker arm is running dry, or either someone forgot to tighten the torque converter bolts

Sucks dude, sorry to hear this
Thanks for the info. I will try this on my lunch break today. Im hoping for the best whatever that is.

Yea, if the noise is still there when you short out the cylinders, you shouldn't have a rod bearing problem, if it goes away, you narrowed down which cyl it is, and you may be in for some bottom end work...I have my fingers crossed for ya and I'm hoping for the best, good luck

Well i got the head off yesterday and took out the lifters, come to find one lifter completely collapsed. It has definitely never pumped up so I am happy to say that is guaranteed my problem. Thanks to everyone who helped with this. Now I put it back together and start the turbo install.

exactly what I thought.

Apparently these guys have never heard lifter chatter vs rod knock except on youtube. Even then they are NOTHING alike.

Glad it was a lifter after all man, new lifters and give her hell!

Heard em both my brother, many many times (been doing this for a living for a long time)...the speed of the sound is what got me, sounded like crankshaft speed to me. Unfortunately, I don't get the real sound on youtube through my laptop, so I do better in person Glad that I was wrong though, a lifter is an easy and inexpensive fix
