I know when I bolted on my intake (i've run Volant and K&N) I got the same result. Intake noise and NOT wanting to admit to myself thats about all I got out of em, which leads to the "I can feel the power" when I really wanted to say outloud "****, I wasted 300 bucks on this crap?!?!"
Now with a tune to take advantage, maybe there is a difference there.
But on a stock truck, well, like the Chinese dude smoking a joint with Booger in "Revenge of the Nerds" - "Ohhhh No...I no feel nut-ting"

I'm still a little traumatized from my UPD purchase.

its really up to you marc. you should want to get one and not just be talked into one. for the longest time i didnt think i needed one due to hearing that you dont even need to change out the stock box if you dont have 350+ horsepower, because the stock box flows just fine for hp under 350. So I thought I was wasting my time with this mod because im stock except flows. But after deciding doing this mod, i do like the over all feel of the truck more.. and i definetly believe the throttle is more responsive, how can it not be, ur motor can breathe more freely now.

Try this link http://www.sshotrods.com/performance/gmtruck/
It has some mods for the stock airbox.
