K&N vs Paper, results from 0-90 tests!
The last time I tested the two it was in 0-60 runs which showed not real difference between the two. My last time at the track it seemed that the truck didn't quite pull at high speeds though. I had the paper filter in and didn't bring the K&N with me. I did some quick 0-90 testing, 3 runs each, one night with the paper and one night with the K&N. This is crude I know but I didn't want to have weather or bad gas or what ever affect the results by running a complete tank of gas with each installed. The temp was the same each night, clear and nice, about 55*. Now with that said, here's what I got.
Paper filter: 0-60 6.36, 0-90 13.59, 3 run average.
K&N filter: 0-60 6.34, 0-90 13.21, 3 run average.
As you can see, no real difference in the 0-60 runs but the truck did seem to pull much better with the K&N from 60-90 mph.
