Default the key to a quieter valve train!!!

i started the day planning to do the cam swap after work around 3P.M. well, sometimes plans change, as they did today. i called a friend of mine that is LS1 crazy also and was talking to him and he told me he had some slp 1.85 ratio rockers that he'd trade me for my stockers and 50 bucks so i said cool. well i went home and was gonna do those and the cam but ended up not having the pen magnets and the autozone was closed so i just swapped the rockers out and put in the comp hardened 7.4" pushrods and buttened things up and changed the plugs and finished it all. Well, usually when i fire it up it instantly starts clicking with that nice valve train noise we all know and love. well this time i fired it and it was silent(other than the blissful sound of the bullets) no clicking or knocking. i revved it and let it sit for about 10 minutes. it kinda seems like the exhaust note is different now...should it be with just the 1.85 rockers? but i wish i had went ahead and put in the cam aswell but ohwell, i don't have work or school till tuesday at 3pm so i still have time. anyone have some new head bolts for sale?

Matt
