Default Kicking around different cam idea

I have the 206/212 Comp and I am getting the bug to change it. Daily driver and really don't want to re stall, but something to go good with the setup I have and the 3.90's. any suggestions or recommendations?

These i believe of descriptions of how they act in the 6.0 but some would still be great in the 5.3 especially w/a stall. Of course the 212/218 comp looks good, and even the high lift version of it and those should be ok w/out a stall. A friend of mine has the 212/218 low lift and is putting it on in a week or two and he isnt using a stall, many on here have used it also. Many others would be good but a stall would be very helpful w/them. The TR 220 on 114 might be ok w/out a stall, i think it has been ran on here w/out a stall before with good results and some very good power. With a TB stall, many of these would be good choices.

IMO you get much more cam in a 5.3L and you will lose low end, and then need a higher stall converter. That's why I got a 205/212 but with higher lift....I wanted to keep my stock TC. I have torque from 600 RPMs all the way until my driveshaft breaks (at approximately 6,000 RPMs).

question your sig says 212/218 and your post says 206/212 which one do you actually have if you still have the 212/218 put that back in still has pretty damn mild street manners with a good torque response still might be a little peaky with your setup not too bad though or do the zo6 cam that is also pretty nice i think is like 207/219 i think if im wrong someone else will be more than happy to tell me so but the zo6 cam will be a topend cam so watch out for that not a torque cam

i have the 219/228 112 LSA hotcam in a 4.8 and I didnt lose any low end.

In fact Carcraft did the cam swap in a stock ls1 motor with longtubes and it gained 13 ft lbs at 2000 RPMS, +20 ft lbs at 3,400, and +42 ft lbs at 6,200.

It has a more torquey overall feeling ..but its not a friendly cam in my opinion, it may just be my tune though.

I'd do a custom comp. aggressive, small lobes on a tight lsa w/ good ve's. That'll make the most torque in your desired rpm range.
