Re: KN FIPK and UPD.
I think Fast4.8 gained a few extra horsepower with the UPD over another intake setup. I can't remember which one though. Maybe he'll chime in.
I've had one for a while now. It's been off and on several times without any problems.

Re: KN FIPK and UPD.
Not to much of a difference with gas mileage. Maybe just a tiny bit better. I drive hard though so it's hard to judge mods for mileage.
I really don't have much SOTP feel in the truck. In my car I can tell even the smallest changes but, for some reason I'm numb in the truck. It did seem to run a little harder up top. I have no solid numbers to back that up with though.
Sorry, that's the best I can tell ya.
One other thing is that it keeps intake air temperatures within 3-5 degrees of ambient at WOT. It seems to be one of the better intake setups out there for air temps.

Re: KN FIPK and UPD.
I just ordered the Volant intake system. I looked at the UPD and I don't think it looks as nice or would work as well as the Volant but you never know. I get the Volant at cost so it runs me about the same as the UPD retail and I get a whole new air box instead of having to use my old one. And when I get more cash I can buy the cold-air tube for it. Damn thing retails for like $390 or something!
