man i hear ya jlwz71, i'm 5'8" also and it sucks working on the trucks...take the front two tires off and lower the truck low with a jack..that's what i usually do...and the two friends of mine that help work on the truck are both 6'3" and they get around in there to easy with it up in the reg height. but when we work on a camaro i don't have to bend over far and they complain about their backs hurting from it. hahaha, i guess being short does have it's high points.

i have mine desensatized 30% and it made a HUGE diference for me, took me from very inconsistat high 14's-16's all the way down to consistant mid 13's. i believe the KO box goes with 30% also. i know it is a bit risky with a blower but what are you supose to do? none of that other stuff seems to work.

they do still work even at 30%, if i hear any knock and then i check the log it will show full 8deg of KR, so i think it will still pull timing even before i can hear any knock.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">What value resitors did you use, and how did you figure out they were the right ones ?

slowverado, I just need to convince my wife that being "short" has it's advantages. <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

check out this page if you want to do it yourself.
http://www.charm.net/~mchaney/knock.gif

i don't have any codes now, i made an ajustable ko box and some of the resistor values must not be close enuff but now with the 30% values i get no codes. i would shoot for as close to those numbers as you can, solder a couple resistors together if you have to. he says 10% is ok but i think less than 5% off would be better.

ls1 edit doesn't help much with continuas false knock.

Since there are 2 KS on our motors did you make a KO box for each one, or just one of them? Do you have any pics of your set up?
Thanx

Well, i made the KS desensitizers last night, and installed them today. So far there are no SES lights flashing, the truck hasnt gone into limp mode. What i can tell you is that i made a huge difference in acceleration. Ya know how TQM is real noticable between shifts? Well i dont think it was so much the tqm that was kickin in in my truck. I think the sensors needed some help. It doesnt bogg now, it just keeps pulling. I think it was a damn good mod. I run 100+ octane in it so i know it wasnt from det. Try it out. PARISH8 thanks for the help.
