Default L76 swap what cam?

I have an l76 that is in need of rings, 60k miles on it and was removed for oil usage. I am planning on putting the ls2 pistons in it to raise compression. I have an extra LS6 cam the 5308. Truck is an 08 CC with 4l60 2800 converter and 4:10 gears. I would like a very mild lope cam but don't want to give up any drive ability. I have the valley cover, lifters, lifter trays for dod removal, cam gear and valve springs for the cam. The lifters are still in the trays lined up as they came out of the motor they were run in. Should I use the ls6 or buy aftermarket? Would I pick up enough to justify the extra money? The cam, springs and lifters have about 15k on them. What do you think 435hp with the ls6 cam and ls2 pistons? What cam would you recommend with a slightly noticeable lope and good low end and drive ability and what kind of power do you think it would make.

Your goal of 435 will depend on if you mean to the wheels or to the crank? You will need more than an LS6 cam to hit that goal. I think a 222/226 .567/.571 LSA112+2 would work fantastic for your desires. 400+rwhp is a strong possibility with that cam while still being very drivable and having a nice lope. Please tell me you plan on a complete custom tune with this build.

I did mean 435 at the crank. I am going to get it tuned for sure. I have just been undecided as to what I was going to do with the truck after I removed the N2O and never had it tuned.

At the crank you will hit 435 for sure. The can I suggested will be perfect in your truck and will get you the numbers you are seeking.

Is that a grind that someone already makes or needs to be custom and by who? Thanks!
