L76 vs L92 intake with L92 heads?
Was reading around on the forum and stumbled across some posts where members are using L92 heads, which also requires to swap to L76 or L92 intakes. From what I gather, both intakes flow just as good as LS6, and the L92 heads flow great stock and will bump up CR. I have a 2003 Lq9 that uses my 2001 4.8 intake and throttle body cable / accessories. I was just wondering if I swap to the L92 heads, how hard it would be to swap to the either the L76 or L92 intake, and which one would install with least modifications. I think the L92 is the truck intake version and is taller but not for sure. I have been searching around but still confused. This sounds like a good mod for my application for the money.

After reading the aforementioned threads,
The first thing I am going to do is switch to electric fans
Get a set of L92 heads and stare at them for a while until I can afford the L76 intake.
Purchase L76 intake complete with fuel rails, injectors and TB
From what I gathered by reading joshluther's posts located at https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...8&page=1&pp=10 the swap requires the following modifications:
cut the bend out of the fuel line where it turns towards the brake booster and use a 3/8" compression union to make it straight
cap off EVAP and move map up front
The injector connectors are the Ls2 style (EV6), just cut off the old ones and solder the new ones on. They can be purhased from Speartech.
drill and tap the front casting of water pump (truck water pump) to accept a 1" npt nipple for clearance.
I think my only question at this point is does any one know if can get away with buying the L76 Intake complete with 90mm DBWTB, inj, and rails, and can I get it to all work with my other accessories that are from a 2001, which currently use cable driven throttle body and return fuel system?
Thanks in advance

i used regular ls1/svo injectors for my swap, for a cable TB you will need a bracket to mount the cables, the map sensor actaually goes up front. the evap goes in the same spot as a regular ls1 intake. his is in the wrong spot. i didnt even bother to use the evap crap on my 408. as for waterpump i ended up using the fbody style one.

i dont think you can convert to the dbw tb but i really dont know
why would you want to go to dbw from a cable tb other than getting that kit to work for you , if you havent driven a dbw truck WOT, i suggest that you do because its the reason i wont be gettin a new truck unless i could convert to cable tb, its obviously electrically driven but you cant "feel" the motor through the pedal on dbw as with cable, i may offend some but ill stick with my cable tb no matter how much power the new trucks have. JMO
EDITL this was posted after quik so you obviously you can convert

a few companies make the bracket fore the cables. i had a buddy make my bracket. as for cam i can give a solid statement on tht since the trend for the L92 cams varies like crazy
