500hp.
I have not seen super numbers w/o FI...I have never seen results where the extra CI was in the end any better than a 6.0L with some FI on top.

The Vic Jr will allow you to turn more rpm which will make you more power. If you have a cable throttle body get a 4 barrel throttle body and not the elbow and tb. That motor will want some air, you can get a bigger 4 barrel throttle body than can a regular one.

No way in hell I'd run any stock manifold on something like that, ported or not...

FAST 102 or Victor Jr intake with 4bbl TB, and for that many cubes, go with the 4500, not the 4150.

The bottom of that block is going to have to be swiss cheesed to clear the rod bolts with that long *** stroke. Im NOT a fan of that long of a stroke on a daily driver. Even with the longer sleeves of an aluminum block youre eating that advantage up with the 4.125 over the normal 4". Stick with the stock bore and a 4" stroke that will be more reliable, better stability and last longer. The extra cubes is not worth it IMO.

so a better intake manifold will wake it up guess im going to have to look into that.. i asked a few mechanics nd was told a intake manifold wasnt necessary for my setup unless i wanted a big shot of nitrous or f/i

not really a daily more like a weekend cruiser but yea i was planning on goin with that to make the 418 but the shop i went too had just built a 429 and said it was running real strong with no problems and i was pretty much convinced to do the 429 its already built and it feels good was just wondering around how much power i was pushing

I merged your threads together, please only one thread per topic.

Im sure your truck is making good power, throw it on a dyno. I agree with silvermodo about the intake.

What is the rest of your setup?

and setup besides the engine a 3500-3600 precision ind stall to a built 4l65e and 3.42s but most likely going to change the gears since its no longer a daily.. and mostlikly will be goin with a 100-200 shot see how long the tranny last lol
