Does the L92(6.2L) intake look like a regular old truck intake? I haven't seen one of those engines with the massive plastic cover off yet. ![Happy](https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
I know it's a 90mm intake and it looks like the TB is angled up a bit, just wondering if an L92 top end could be put on a 6.0L with minimal fuss.

The intake runners are of a totally different geometry. They are LS7 derived rather than LS1.
After heads, i would think it bolts right up.

the heads claim they need a 4.030 bore, 6.0s have 4.00 i believe so there might be some issues

But i did read on GMHTP that the L92 heads are 4.000" combustion chamber. So they can be used on both the GenIV 6.2L and GenIV 6.0L

From that article....
We've spent a lot of time talking about intake manifolds during these engine posts, and for good reason - port fuel injection has allowed the development of some pretty radical intake geometry, and as such, intake manifolds may have overtaken cylinder heads as the most critical contributor to an engine's powerband.
Like we've seen on most other engines that are designed for something just short of all-out top-end performance, here we find the barrel-shaped long-runner manifold. There's plenty of plenum volume, and a not-outrageously-large runner cross-section. In other words, this is exactly what we'd expect to see on an engine designed to have a broad powerband that's biased somewhat towards the lower end.

Yeah, looks a little different from what can be seen of it in those pics. I'd really like to see it without the cover on. I have a request in for a pic next to a stock 6.0L intake.

Scoggin Dickey has the heads and they're ummmm.....cheap $399ea. complete.
You just have to have the intake, TB, fuel rails, TB conversion stuff, and who knows what else to use them.
Any current 90mm TB should bolt on but, I don't know if the cable actuated models would have room to work?
