yea, LQ4...317 same deal both the intake.
IMO ( I am going L92) the heads flow good and you also get a larger throttle body, where if you run ported stock heads you still have the 78mm TB opening.

Thanks, so it looks like a 70 80 cfm pick up, very nice. Ill photo log the whole build Ill also be installing a cam with the l92/l76 top end, if your interested in pics.

ok back from the dead, i have started the l92 top end and will be posting all of my pics if anyone is interested. there is a few threads on here explaining how to do the whole thing, and theres a few threads with pics but ill try to explain everything as best i can and answer any questions i can and take as many pics as i can.

now at this time the heads are about ready to come off. remove the rocker rails to reveal the center head bolts. once you have loosened all of the head bolts, and not forgeting the 3 bolts that attatch the alternator bracket to the driver side head, unplug the temp sensor also on the driver side near the front of the head. and finaly the coolant crossover tube, and heads can come off. now there will be a bit of coolant that comes out of the heads when you lift them off

now time to start cleaning off the deck(head mating surface) i pre soaked the whole top of the block with purple power deluited in a spray bottle and let it sit while i swapped my springs out of my old heads.
and be sure to retain the head dowels(the 4 large roll pins on the outer perimeter of the deck) when cleaning the heads. they can be pulled out with a pair of needle nose pretty easily. then pull the lifter boxs(plastic trays directly above the lifters) out and stuff some rags over the lifters to prevent large debris from getting down to the vally.
