Let's hear them ....

I've tried just stomping it from about 1000 rpm, but I spin pretty good even withthe slicks on. 1500 seems to be my sweet spot. THe converter only flashes to about 3100 if I do this. I've gotten a string of high 1.8's this way.

well.. im runnin on 6 cyliinders.. so i can stall and launch at 2 grand without hardly any will spin. lololol

Actually I try to leave on the last yellow. I do try to stall it up, but usually have som much stuff going on that I'm not consistent. I did find out that I can do a 4 wheel burnout on the spray.

I was getting consistant 2.0s with less mods, and no weight redux. Now i am back to getting 2.1-2.2s due to spin. I usualy get the rpms up to @ 1200 and hammer it on the last yellow.

i need big time help with my launch.i have a hard time watching a light or someone flag and the tach at the same time.when i dump it i either spin really bad or bog down,cant seem to ever get it just right.very slow 60'

With my mods and the 3000stall my best 60's come from sitting in 4wh Hi, stalling it up to about 2500rpm then mashing it. Imediately after staring to move I click it back into 2whd and after a couple seconds of disengaging it slips into 2whd and I accelerate faster.

I've tried all kinds of launch techniques for 2whd and I simply over power my cheap tires.

Alot of the Yank converters seem to like being stalled up before launching where some of the Vig converters like to be flashed. All depends on the stall speed and such. My 4400 stall on my T/A liked to be stalled near 3000rpm for best results. 1.5 60's were not too bad for an N/A heavy car

IMO, you need a chatter box, a strong clutch, and do some 4500rpm launches in 4hi. You should pull some good times then. Probibly knock off .4-.5 off your 1/4 time.

Ive got a Z28 M6, so i know how important a consistant launch is with a manual trans.

With my Vig converter it liked to be stalled real low (1,500) and then floor it on green. My buddy's Yank3000 liked to be stalled up to 2,000 and then floor it.

Hey StupidFast, How you doin'? My Vig likes the same thing. I stall it up around 1,000 or so just enough to smooth out the idle then hammer down. I cut a 1.67 60' at Ennis last year doin' just that.

Not bad. That LS1 I was so proud of at the DFW meet is a piece of crap, I picked the compression, heads, and cam for a FI. I don't think I have ever liked that motor.
I am having my heads completed as we speak for a new 408, going to spray it. Block should be here in two weaks. It should be done by late May early June. My new Yank ProTruck3400 is also on its way. We will see what happens.
