Default Lc9 to 6.0 swap help!

So like many others my lc9 just got a collapsed or stuck lifter on cylinder 6 at 132k. Engine has been burning oil for awhile now about 2 quarts every oil change. Basically this engine is trash like all the other horror stories I have read. I would like to swap it over to a 6.0 due to that’s what I really need for my boat. I’m getting a little confused on which 6.0 is a direct swap? I don’t mind sending my PCM off for tuning ( anyone know a good source ?) I still owe 15k on this paper weight 🤮 so I need to get this fixed ASAP. I’ll be doing all the work myself just need a little guidance on which motor is the right choice. I have the cash and looking to buy a reman new motor.

the truck is a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 Ltz

if someone could help guide me through this it would be much appreciated! I’ll be very active on here so I’ll respond right away

Needs to be a GEN 4 6.0 engine.

So a LY6 or L96 engine would be two options.

The L9H is a 6.2 option you could run as well, that engine doesn't have AFM/DoD.

A tune is required no matter what, it won't even run without lots of stuff disabled within the calibration. Where are you located, some people on here may be close or could recommend a place to do that.

I’m located in Biloxi ms. I really don’t want a motor that has that bull rap 4 to v8. I feel it makes the engine run like complete crap. Just trying to get an engine that won’t require crazy mods. I have no issues with sending the computer off.

All 3 engines I listed do not have it. They all have VVT, which you will want to keep.

And if possible could you link to to a new reman motor that would work 6.0 or 6.2? I’m terrified of buying a motor that won’t work thanks a ton!!!

The 6.2 was already mated to the 6L80e since 2007, it can handle it just fine.

I don't know who sells reman engines and where you'd buy one. You can go to a dealership and buy new or buy a used engine too.

Here is an example of a used engine with all the wording you'd need/want.

Try LKQ for a used 6.2 out of a truck like yours. That's what I would go with.

LKQ is a scrap yard but they have higher standards than a lot of yards do. Used many used motors and transmissions from them with no problems. But if you get a used 6.2 from them it's likely to have DOD. You can delete it with hard parts like lifters and a cam or you can turn the 4 cylinder mode off.

I don't know all the engine codes and specifics so not sure which to guide you toward exactly that wouldn't have DOD, but looks like that was taken care of above.
