Default lets play everyones favorite game CAM PEOPLE COME ON IN

ok so i have some money saved up

heres what im getting:
stg2.5 LS6 heads PRC
90 mm tb
gaskets bolts
180 tstat
LS7 Lifters
and a cam

if you guessed that this was another cam thread you guessed right
heres the thing i want a cam thats good for a 5600lb esca bus with 4.10's and 2600 stall with the stated heads (stg 2.5's) ill have 11.0:1 compression (give or take) i dont want to shift past 6500 rpm because its a daily driver and i dont see a point with this much weight

now i know most of you will say use the search button but i have, ive been using it for months trying to find the perfect cam but im just way to indecisive too pick one here are the cams ive been recomeneded and or thought up my self

1. vinci trucker
2. 217/223 lunati 549/549 lift 113 lsa
3. custom comp 218/226 or (224) .563/(.568).570 114+2 (need centerline)
4. comp 224/230 .580/.591 112 (need more converter i think)
5. called comp cams recomeneded 227/243 cam .6xx/.6xx ( ??????????? )
6. TSP recomended 212/218 high lift (good choice but i think i want more)
7. 216/220 comp cam (needs more lift i think aswell)

my goal is 410whp-475whp n/a

please guys im dying here i need to figure this out please help
any help is greatly appreciated

Decisions, decisions lol.. Well with your current setup and not wanting to shift past 6500rpm generally the smaller cams would be what you want.

With your current stall and weight something like what tsp recommended would be good 212/218 high lift on up to like a 224/224, 224r or similar would work well too. If you got a higher stall you could put a rather large cam in it if you wanted to.

Also if you end up getting a smaller cam like the 212/218 high lift you will soon enough already get an upgrade itch for a bigger cam so go for something like in the low to mid 220's imo.

A 228r would be badass but I'm not sure with your weight and stall you would be happy with it plus guys shift them at 6600rpm+.

good luck.

I'd look into a 224/224 581/581..
Ur heads will be able to support the extra lift, and that converter should work well since u are a higher compression.

with a 2600 converter...

228r 112 lsa
228/232 112 lsa

those are 2 cams that i have experience with and with the right supporting mods they will put you close to your power goals. both cams will shift right around 6300-6500 on a stock manifold. dont be afraid to step into the .600+ lift range now that you have heads.

also how is a 228r good with a 2600 stall is it just cuz of my compression increase? i thought you atleast need a 3000 stall or 3200

sorry for all the questions

check out wheatley's thread about his lsxrt intake with 228/232 112 cam results. 431 RWHP from a smallish cam by todays standards. his is a lq4 sitting around 10.8ish compression.

i ran a 226r on 112 lsa on a smaller motor (ls1) with the stock converter and it drove just fine.
