Just spent the last hour on the phone with Joe Vinci. After talking it all over I went with the ASP Kicker cam and thier titanium springs. He said these will work with stock pushrods and rockers. After I told him I would be shooting for 8#'s of boost on the LQ4 he said the ASP was they way to go. Should have a little chop to it and it pulls from 1900-6000. Also found out I will need a water pump gasket, Crank bolt, Valve seals, Timing cover gasket and seal.

Just get the Scoggin Dickey Cam Replacement Gasket Kit here. Should have everything you need.
Interesting cam choice....with a 112 LSA you should have all the lope you'd ever want.
You sure you need $300 springs on a cam with .550 lift? LS6 springs are dirt cheap and the 918's are only $159.
FWIW, most everyone I've talked with has said replace the stock pushrods with hardened ones while you're in there.

Id have to agree, better safe than sorry. With as much as you have already spent whats a little more for some security?

At least now you got a good excuse to replace the rockers, cause your push rods might be weak. I bet that one beats the "Shut up woman go mow the yard" line.

I just got off the phone with ARP and they dont make rod bolts for a 2004 LQ4 or the lady didn't know what she was talking about.

talk to jason at texas speed. thats where i got mine from. he even let me have some stock valve locks and retainers. you should just tell her that is a LS1 i think thats how they got them listed
