whats up with those heads? they are normaly not painted. what year is that motor? can you post up a better picture of the back of the crank?

Here's the story I got. The short block is from a 04, has ony 9K miles on it. The heads were from the previous owners 5.3 (2002) and have 23K miles on them. This engine was in a show truck and I guess he painted the heads for looks. Whats the difference in the 6L heads and 5.3L heads?

Parish--What do you want to see on the crank pulley?

5.3 heads are not as good as the 6.0's especialy for boost. i want to see the back of the crank to make sure it is not a 1999/2000 motor. if it isn't 2001 or newer it wont bolt into your truck.

I think hes shooting for the other side of the motor where the castings are.
