$1500 for an 03 lq4 isn't a bad deal, what are you waiting for?
Litredevil is supposed to be getting me a shipping quote and all the details today. If it all sounds good I will get it. Hope to know soon.
Didn't know about the compression raising on those heads. No good for me then.

Default cams here..

Got the cam today. I guess I was expecting a bright shiny shaft. I hope they didn't send me the used one they have in there "Specials" section. The "Special" (used) cam is the same grind as this one a #62. What do yall think has this been used? Less than 100 miles according to the special. I've never seen a brand new cam before so maybe I'm retarded.

i saw on a write up from comp or something, the cams are coated in copper or some other reddish metal before grinding ( part of the hardening process if i remember correctly? ) are the lobes nice and even and no marks on them?

It's probably new if it were used the lobes would be polished by wear. What's the lobe separation on that cam?

Cams come with an anti-corrosion coating which makes them not so shinny. And the lobes look brank new from what I can tell. Clean it off with some carb cleaner before you lube it up and put it in. I think i've heard that before somewhere

You would need more than carb cleaner for what you got

The lobes look perfect. Every other part looks dirty. Covered in oil residue or something. I'm sure it will look fine once I clean it up. Push rods and gaskets should be in tomorrow. Wish I had an engine to put them in...
