the only reason I get so high is because i tuned it not to downshift going up hills. I also pulled back my power enrich there to 1.15 from 1.18

I think my good mileage has to do with setting the cuise on 70 and killing the ac on hills. I basically do everything to keep from downshifting. I did a 240 mile roadtrip got 22.5 mpg with 3 downshifts. Then did the same with 75 mph and countless downshifts, 19 mpg. Its all about driving and shifting.

Speed has a lot to do with it. Try doing that trip at 65mph, wind resistance is exponential...

why are you worried so much about gas mileage now? buy a minivan

screw a mini van. i just want alittle better mileage. i know it can be done if my 4wd silverado got 21 with camed ls1. with 3.73's and 285/75r16 procomps. and your the one that bitch about getting mileage when i was talking you into that stall. any way......
not sure what else to change on the tune. my ltft are all within 2 to -2. maf is good. its just that this thing has to downshift and unlock alot. its heavy and awd. it sometimes ulocks on flat roads with maybe a slight incline. i do need to check tire pressures again since i've been gone for a month.

so what other part throttle tuneing do i need to do?

+1. I get pretty terrible fuel economy on the highway and even worse in-city. I'm talking like 16/10. A lot of that has to do with how I drive, but that's all in the family.

However, I've got this back-road that runs from my home to my school about 17 miles away, and at night I can get away with going 40-45mph down this road. I get fantastic fuel economy doing this, because the whole time I'm only turning like 1200rpm. I've also noticed significant fuel economy differences between 60-65mph on the highway and 70-75mph.

THE biggest killer of fuel economy for me, however, has been that blasted A/C. It does NOTHING but drag my numbers down, and preys upon the hot, humid climate I live in. There is a HUGE difference between running just the vent and running A/C. Like night and day, fellas.

Also, on a side note, I was wondering if anyone knew whether it was more fuel efficient to run the outside-vent A/C, or the recirculate A/C. I cant seem to remember at the moment...thanks...

well on my dic when i take off from a stop light to say 35mph or so it says i'm getting 3-5mpg and thats at like maybe 25% throttle. but after it goes into lock up on a FLAT surface it will set at 20mpg. soon as the road starts to incline it goes to 10-11 with out unlocking or downshifting.
