On the alcohol note: I don't think it work as good as water, because no other liquid can absorb heat as good as water. Why not try purging nitrous onto the heat exchanger. Air to air guys do that. I've always thought that usuing liquid nitrogen or dry ice would kick ***. You could poor or mist a little liquid nitrogen onto the heat exchanger in staging. It might work, who knows?

that is the original 5.3 radiator.
it's not as great as i had hoped. at the track my temps are about the same. siting in the staging lanes just puts heat into everything. the best thing is when driving on the street it recovers almost instantly.

Here is some part #'s for you guys.
The pump is a universal anco part # 65-01. Cost at my Oreilly's is $13.69+tax
The Misters are "Orbit" Dripmasters with a 1/4" barb, 10-32 MT connection(whatever that means)
Model # 61032D that flow 0-8gph@25psi. They are adjustable, and their adjustment **** is yellow. They can be found in the gardening section @ Wal-mart, and they cost about $2
As far as using a heater core as an extra in-line heat exchanger, I found what might be the perfect one. it is 9"tall and 8"wide, about 1" thick. The hose inlet/outlet are both 3/4" and it already has 2 mounting tabs on the bottom. Cost is $34.99 and here is some part #'s for different brands : NAPA - 3336, Ready-aire(Oreilly's) - 398214, 4seasons - 94480, Murray - 279163, Stant - 90214. Those are the same heater core with a bunch of different brands.

i pulledmine but there is room for a prety good sized radiator up there without taking it out. i can still see retsell's ac back behind that radiator.
here is what i had in there before i put the 5.3 radiator in there. this is a radiator from a dodge daytona. got it from the junk yard for $35. it fit with the ac in there.
