It may sound like a ghetto way of fixing it but it worked well on my Ram and many others after engine work.

After the next oil change the tick should be gone using any oil you like.

Are you sure it's lifters and not a plug that's loose or cross threaded? Lifters have a discreet and short tick to them when making up lash, this sounds like a noise of longer duration.

Do you have the right length of pushrod? Meaning, did you do the proper measuring?

was this a cam swap or did it just come up out of no where..

yes i did, they are ls7 lifters with 0.075 preload

agressive cam?? is so it can be normal noise.. i have a ton of noise from mine and it is completly normal..

finally had time to work on it today.... looks like a lifter has collapsed.

what do you think caused the problem? Im having issues with my 346 d1sc. i was driving it yesterday and heard knock or a lifter tick. I just put the heads and d1 on the truck. good luck man i feel your pain.
