First I have to say that this IS NOT available for the truck 8.1 motor I will be talking to them to see if there will be one in the future though. In the meantime we can dream or I could put one on my boat.

Good question. I'm not to much into marine performance but I'd say the outdrive would probably have to be upgraded depending on how hard the boat is run. You can spend a ton of $ to get a little MPH on the top end so I haven't touched mine (23' Chaparral bowrider). I may have the computer reprogrammed this winter but that is probably it. I run at about 70MPH at WOT with 2 people on board. I rather be in a bigger boat at anything over 75-80 but on calm water 70 feels like 40.

why not buy this kit for an 8.1 and fabricate it to work in a truck????

What drives are you running now? The Bravo 3X or XR might be up to the task of the power output of the Procharged mill. Imco Marine makes a beefed outdrive called the Xtreme. They are a good unit from what I heard from a firend of mine. Drive showers are good too!

hehe, my drive is a short shaft Champ Mercury outboard with a #4 or #6 speed master on it. hehe, bring on your i/o boats biatches!.!.!.!.!.!

I didnt say outboards are bad. I would love to have like a 23 foot tunel with two Merc Pro 2.5's or 300 Pro Max's! Theres nothing like the sound of an outboard though!

dude, if you've never heard a Champ, or S2000 outboard you've never lived. they sound so different than other OUTs, they are about the same as a big cammed LS1....as far as coolness i mean...
