Default Lokar oil dipstick

Got a Lokar Billet Aluminum dipstick today at a car show, says its for LS1's but figured i could get it to work on the 4.8. Had to bent the mount a little but it works. The dipstick is a little short so it reads off a little bit, I'm going to call lokar tomorrow and see if they sell longer ones.

So now i have a brand new factory dip stick tube that i bought 2 days ago after i broke the other one installing the headers that will be for sale soon.

Looks good, the headers look good too, how many miles have you put on them, the coloration is nice Did you get all of the little install issues worked out (y-pipe hitting floorboard etc.)?

Yep, headers look real nice, but those are just hardware store bolts? I don't know if those are capable of taking the repeated heating and cooling and may break in the long run??

if there llp headers then it the bolts that come with them.i reused my stock bolts because of the coverage area of the bolt head.

I bought the Lokar too but always found myself questioning my oil level so I switched back to the stocker.....I would rather be safe than sorry.
