Long Tubes to go in soon......02 simms or not ???????
My long tubes are in the mail and I was wondering what other mods to the exhaust I should make. I see that a # of guys here have 02 simms, and was curious as to how they work and how effective they are. I know I will need to have my exhaust refitted after the headers, so hear are my plans.
1. Long tubes
2. electric cut-outs
3. remove cats
4. ??? 02 simms or reinstall 02 sensors???????
5. H-pipe, a good idea or not, heard both ways
What do you guys think would be the best set-up, I have heard before that no 02's will create engine codes problems, let me know what your guys experiences are with this. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure if you remove the cats you will have to have sims in place of your rear 02's or get the rear 02's turned off.

I've heard that x-pipe is better for performance than H-pipe, but I've heard that h-pipes sound more aggresive...but in my opinion, I'm gonna get an x-pipe

I'm running custom mandril bent head pipes with Sims,a Flowmaster Venturi wye, then a 3"cutout with electronic opener leading into a Flowmaster 70 series catback system. It works real good for me,quiet around town and the option of really loud for the track or when I get the urge.

I already have true dual, so I think an H-pipe would a better option so I don't have to redo my entire system for an x-pipe. I am not really interested in sound, moreso the performance benefits of an H-pipe, is there any?

off the headers, 3 bolt flange on the header, 3" mandril bent pipe into a custom x pipe made by LANES who did my exhaust, then about 18" back from there another flange(kinda like a cutout) and then about 8-10" to the dual bullet mufflers. sounds really mellow at idle, and sounds bad *** at full throttle. and with the cam it sounds simply sweet.
