So i did a search for the OBX style longtubes...


Found alot of great info, just not the info i was looking for lol

I know we can use the f-body headers, but has anyone tried the OBX f-body headers. They don't have that wierd looking bend like the truck headers do.
I was just wondering before i blow $300 then they don't fit. thanks guys!!!

try to find some lpp or llp headers...

i think this pic may explain the header tubing bend and why it is like it is.

they look good for the $. if these dont go away, i will be getting a set after/during my engine swap/refresh

I'm running them, and they fit perfectly on my 4wd. I'm not sure why more guys don't run these.

I like those Dan, no silly hump and they have 3" collectors

I do too. I've never seen/heard about those (particular ones) before, or there may have been a 50 page thread on them instead, lol.

Yeah, I just happened across them on ebay one night, and took a chance. Couldn't be happier. I really have no clue why more guys don't run them, they're almost identical to the Pacesetters, just stainless.

What did you use/do for Y pipe?
Right now, I'm just running a (VERY) modified stock Y with 2.5" Magnaflow cats welded directly to the collectors (with lots of leaks).

I actually just ordered the LPP stainless 3" Y about an hour ago (Only $100, I couldn't buy just the tubing/merge for that little), and I'll be modifying it to work with some 3" Magnaflow cats, and it'll be attached to the headers with V-Bands. That'll be a winter project, I'll definitely keep lots of pictures of the process.

EDIT: Oh and Billy, whenever you want your balancer puller back, let me know.

Yes i've read through that thread more than once, I DONT want the hump on the DS primarys though. Plenty of guys run the pacesetters without that ugly bend. I mean sure, it works fine, just not what i want

Just what i was looking for! Good deal. Just need to save up a bit more cash now.
