I'm not sure if the pistons will have to be custom or not. Hopefully they are just an off-the-shelf size so we don't have to wait for customs to be made.

that sucks. it might be cheaper to do a 408 again and scrap that block. depending the cost of parts

Becasue you can operate your power adder in its efficency range......have less problems with the motor, and make BETTER HP. I have discussed this with Rex in detail, I am sure he will comment on it.

As for dipshits comment, I will take 600 RWHP and 18mpg any day of the week

Finding a good 6.0L block is an issue. Rex has one, but it's the older style that takes the different length head bolts, so I'd have to get new studs, which adds to the price. Also just talked to him about running a 5.3 block bored to 5.7 specs and running my 4" crank to make a 383 and he thinks I'd be better off working off the 6.0L block. Cost of boring/decking/line honing a new block would likely offset the savings from running an off the shelf LS1 piston. I really think that sticking with the block I have is probably going to be the best deal.

Brian, I did talk to Rex and he thinks that going another .010 over on my current block is going to net the best results.
