Question Low Oil Pressure Question

Have Any Of You Had A Low Oil Pressure Issue?

I Just Bought A 03 Denali That Already Had The Radix And Alot Of Other Stuff. I Drove It For About A Week Getting It "set Up" Before I Turned It Over To My Wife. Within 1 Day, She Called Me Saying The Low Oil Pressure Light And Alarm Came On.

I Drove It The Next Day And Watched The Guage And It Was Pretty Low.

I Took To My Mechanic And After Checking Alot Of Stuff And Running A Different Guage, He Said That It Was Showing About 10 Lbs More On His Guage Than What Was Showing On The Stock Guage.

If It Is The Guage, I Have To Replace My Guage Cluster - $$$$

Just Wondering What You Know Out There?

i do know that my stock temp gauge reads 210 when my scan gauge reads only 190. but i think my oil pressure gauge reads slightly higher than actual on my interceptor scan gauge. I would bet youll be O K though.

The PCM triggers your alarm. Basically, your gauge has little to do with the low oil pressure alarm. It's mainly there for you to look at and monitor.

Sounds like you either have some issues, or your sending unit is bad. The sending unit screws down into the block just behind the intake.

I lost my stock motor to low oil pressure issues from spun cam bearings. Any internal engine work been done to it?
