Lowered Trucks and E.T.s
How many of you guys ran your trucks before and after lowering with the same mods ? Did it affect your times ? As some of you know, mine is lowered but I am wondering if it is hurting my times. I have air shocks in the back and it seems to run better when I have them aired up to about 80+ psi. The other night, I left them at 8 psi(which is where I run them normally) and the truck seemed not to hook up as well. I had a lot of bad wheel hop with them at a low psi. What are your opinions.

Lowering a vehicle just makes it more difficult to have weight transfer to the rear axle on the launch. So, if you aren't spinning then a lowered suspension isn't really hurting you. Get some ET Streets or something and you should be okay.
Or, throw some 200 lb bags of gravel in the bed

Re: Lowered Trucks and E.T.s
at stock height i ran a 15.02 @89.94mph. when i did the hotchkis 2/4 drop i then ran a 15.1 @91.4mph. when i am on the street and it's cold i have real bad traction problem and when it's warm i have bad real bad wheel hop. however, when i am at the track i don't have any problems.
i have been thinking about traction bars but i didn't know what kind to get. anyone have any idea. does any of yall have them?

would 2inch drop shackles in the rear hurt or help? i see it as haveing the rear lower, which would help weight transfer. if the back end is lower then wouldnt that help the weight transfer?

My truck is dropped 4-6 with Belltech. I put bags in the rear on top of the leaf springs. I normally run 25lbs in them on the road and 50lbs. at the track. I have no wheel hop w/ 50lbs. in the bags. As far as comparison of no drop time vs. drop time I don't know b/c right after I dropped my truck I was in the working on truck zone still and went ahead and put on nitrous too. I only have nitrous runs after the drop...

I did not see a difference with my 2" shackles.
