Default Lowering oil pressure

I think I have ruined the seals on my turbo, because I my oil pressure is too high. Do I have to take the oil pump out to change the spring, or can it be done with the pan off?

You'll have to get the oil pump out and on the bench

Well that sucks. Can I get the lower pressure spring at the dealership, or the zone or where?

i thought you could buy a fitting that goes inline of the oil feed to lower it just to the turbo?

X2 ^^^ think it's call a oil jet.

Edit:Oil inlet restrictor for T series 1/8" NPT. Oil inlet restrictor for all T3, T3/T4, T04, T72 etc. turbos (also larger ball bearing turbos such as GT4088R, GT4094R, GT4294R, GT4202R). Restrictor diameter of .065 hole size. Installed at the oil inlet on turbo to reduce max oil pressure going into the turbo to prevent oil leakage into end housings due to excessive pressure. Input is 1/8" NPT male and output is 1/8 NPT female.

I'm with these guys. Pretty sure there's a restrictor to put into your oil feed line somehow.

Here's the thing I have one of those, it's just a nitrous jet nipple. I started out with none, after a month it would lightly smoke after driving hard, then after 2 months, it smoked pretty hard sometimes. Then I got the restrictor, I started with the biggest jet, then did it all over again, and went through all the jets.

I didn't want to go to far and starve the turbo of oil, but should have started with the smallest jet to begin with.

At wot my oil pressure gauge pegs at 80, and it idles at 60, once it gets warm, it idles at 50-55.

i think a pressure regulator with a guage so you can actually see and control the pressure would probably be the best...

I'm no expert, but IMO that oil pressure is higher than I would want it. By about 20 psi across the board. I'd probably re-do the oil pump if I was in your situation.
