This is the way I have known it for years, unless the GENIII engines are somehow magically different than what I'm used to, but I thought that the rule of thumb standards stood strong for all internal combustion engines. Too big of a primary will decrease scavenging and hurt low end torque production, and also affect your speed through the traps in the 1/4. They may produce more "peak" horsepower on a DYNO, but peak numbers and dynos are only good for something to post in a forum member's sig lol.

Unless you're making big HP, with heads that have monster flow numbers and donkey dick cam specs, or have big cubes, or you're boosted, I don't see the advantage of a bigger primary. Honestly, the difference in going too big is probably so little that an unsensitive butt dyno such as mine would probably never even notice the difference lol.

You've got plans for a future turbo anyway ...why are you even bothering with $1200 headers lol. Don't most of the front mounts have custom manifolds or something?

No way you don't have the goonads to do that ... Maybe a stepped set of headers 1 3/4 to 1 7/8

I've had enough "entertainment" at various casinos to pay for a set of ARH's

$500 bets, crunked to the maximum...not a good combo
