When i installed my LT headers i got a slight tic sound, my sound is from the thin header tubes letting the valve train noise come thru, also i have had bad luck in the past with shitty aftermarket exhaust gaskets, make sure you always use the gm stock gaskets they seem to work best for me.

I never had the ticking noise/valvetrain noise when i had shorty headers (had JBAs). With LT though i have considerable ticking and valvetrain noise.
