Default lq4 to 4l60e?

Is there any know issues regarding the fitment of an 99-00 LQ4 6.0 to fit the 4l60e?

Im pretty sure that the crank is longer on the iron headed 6.0 and wont bolt up to a 60e but i think you can get a spacer off a newer 6.0 correct me if im wrong guys

The '99-'00 6.0's have the long crank. Adding a spacer will only make it longer. The spacer is used on '01+ motors with the 4L80E tranny.

You're going to need a crank from an '01+ to fit the 4L60E.

yes i have a 00 motor in the garage and its crank is about 7/16th longer. doesnt look good for using it for anything but a 80

The 4L65E, which is a factory beefed up 4L60E and the two are completly interchangeable, both have the same shafts. It has been used behind the 6.0 LQ4 in the 2001 GMC C3, the 2002-2004 Sierra Denali's, the 2002-2004 Yukon Denali's and the 2002-2004 Escalades. The same 4L65E tranny has been used behind the 6.0 LQ9 in the 2007-2007 (Classic) Sierra Denali's, the 2004-2006 Yukon Denali's, the 2003-2007 Chevy ss and the 2004-2005 Escalades.

I've heard the 99-00 iron head 6.0 cranks were a little different. Not sure about the spacer though.
