Yes a P&P 243 will flow better than a stock 317.

yes! it will bring your comp Ratio to around 10.5-11.0.
If you going with N.A. Engine it will give you around 25-30more HP.
But if you going with any kinds of FI or SC. You better off getting comp Ratio down to 9.0-9.5

anyone know how to calculate this?

i know it's total cyl volume divided by cumbustion chamber but i dont know how to convert cc's to ci's and how much cyl popout is on a stock lq9

An LQ9 w/ 243's will have about 11:1 CR.

Should be the exact same CR as the LS2, which is a 6.0L with 243 heads. GM says its 10.9:1 and I calculate it out to ~10.95:1.
