Default LQ4 performance advice.

I have a '72 4x4 Blazer that I started doing an LQ4 swap into several years ago and then life got in the way and the project was mothballed.

Anyway, I'm starting the project back up again and figured since the engine is out on a stand, I'd have my builder add some upgrades to hop it up a bit. The problem is, so much has changed in the last few years with L76 heads, LS3 heads, etc...that I don't even know where to begin.

I need some ideas on what would be a good heads/cam/intake combo for me. My LQ4 is out of an '06 Express Van as I needed the intake with a throttle cable for my conversion.

My Blazer is a fat pig so low-mid range torque will probably be more important than top end power.

Any input is much appreciated.

I forgot to mention this will be in front of a built TH350 and will be somewhat daily driven but will mostly be used for hauling *** out in the desert or in the sand dunes.
