Default lq4 rod length?

i need to know to rod length and stoke rebuilding my 177,xxx motor and im lookin for new pistons and rods any info?

6.096 or 6.125 alot of the aftermarket rods are the 125's

I believe it is a 3.622 stroke and 6.098" rod lenth.

That would be correct from what I have read. I am doing something similar and I maybe can save you some footwork. The only forged piston "on shelf" I have found is a Diamond #11514 that is -13cc but fits the stock 3.622 crank and 6.098 rod. Everything seems to be stroked these days and stock replacement is hard to find. My machine shop wants to see my 07 lq9 rods to see if they are "cracked"(metalurgy??) If they are, he says throw them in the trash. Hopefully I will get his blessing on these...if not...1000 for pistons and rings and 550 for rods and 200 to rebalance. Oh yea, and fresh bearings too. No reason to throw the rods in the trash just because they are cracked rods....that simply the term for how they seperate the rod cap from the rest, and it leaves a sort of jagged surface. You have to keep the cap with the original rod it was made for, and they have to keep their original orientation on the rods otherwise you will have problems. But the LSx community has been dealing with cracked rods since 1997 without any real issues
