Personally, I'd look for an 01+ 6.0

Has anyone used their stock 4L60e and put the LQ4 in? If so, what harness did you use? Just looking for some help this way. The cheapest I found a L80e was about $500. What all would I need to change back to make it cable throttle?

Am I going to find one for $500. That's almost too cheap to pass up, right?

What they have been trying to tell you is if you buy this 00 lq4 it will not bolt up to your 60e, it has a longer crank.

OK. If I find an 01, what do I need to do about the drive by wire and the engine harness. These questions still haven't been answered

The DBW and harness was on a 5.3 correct? If so, you don't have to do anything, just get the PCM tuned for the 6.0. The throttle body, intake, sensors, etc. will all swap over to the 6.0

So from my understanding is that if I get an 01 and up, I should be able to use my L60e, all of the accessories, and just bolt the intake and go right? That's using my harness on my 5.3 right?

That is correct, you just need to get the PCM tuned for the 6.0 but everything else will swap right over.

This is actually my basic plan when I do my 6.0LQ9 swap. My trans will have been built, and I'm going to pull my 5.3 and slap my (not yet assembled) LQ9 in it's place, at which point I will already have contacted Justin at BlackBear to tune my PCM for the 6.0, so I'll swap that PCM in and fine tune it later...
