Default LQ4 vs. LQ9

Ok can someone tell me the diff between these two 6.0's. I have the chance to buy a 2002 LQ4 out of a wrecked 2500 hd for 1200. Motor is complete with intake and manifold. Motor has 3500 miles on it. Is the LQ9 a better motor, and what are each of these rated at as far as hp and torque. And will it fit into my 2000 truck with 4l60e?
thanks!

LQ9 has has different cam and pistons yielding 10 to 1 compression. The LQ4 with it's 9 to 1 compression and an aftermarket cam would probably be a better choice with the Magnacharger.

stupid question but did you mean to type LQ4 in the first sentence? and if you did does that mean it is higher compression than my current 5.3? and will both motors dropp right into my truck?
thanks!

LQ4 has 9.4:1 CR and LQ9 has 10:1 CR along with tuning enhancements. The LQ4 has been rated, I believe from 300-325 HP and 345-370 TQ. The LQ9 is rated at 345HP and 375-380TQ. They both bolt up to the 4L60E.

sweet.... so a complete engine for 1200 is that a good buy? so if I am hearing you right the LQ4 would be better with my blower due to lower compression?

Which 6.0 would be better with a procharger? A Radix? Whipple?
Any detailed info is appreciated.
Thanks

I cant comment on the procharger, however I have a Radix, and have driven the whipple charged truck. IMO the whipple is not all its cracked up to be, the kit tricks the computer into seeing boost. The radix programs the truck into seeing boost. Want to drive mine? I would be more than happy to let you drive it.

The LQ4 is definitely the preferred motor if you are going FI. Doesn't really mater which type of blower you use, the LQ4 is the one to get.
