Want to drive mine? I would be more than happy to let you drive it.
I've been wanting to ask you if I could drive your truck since I saw it.
Well damn, when and where?
Don't mean to be picky, but a guy with whom I work has an '03 GT and thinks he's the shiznit with that ***** *** stang. Wanna give him a taste of the "blownchevy" so he'll shut up?

The LQ4 is definitely the preferred motor if you are going FI. Doesn't really mater which type of blower you use, the LQ4 is the one to get.
Really, why is that if you don't mind me asking. What I want to do is build up a 6.0, Procharge it, then juice it. But I'm still researching...

Yea? Because BigTex said in this thread
https://ls1tech.com/threads/showflat...&fpart=all
that some guy by the name of Chris Enders said that the LQ9 head which has higher compression (right?) is the best head for forced induction.

I'm not pointing fingers and/or saying you guys are incorrect, but that guy has a conflicting story.
Could you guys explain "compression"? In as much detail as you like.

ok well i think i am going to get this LQ4. Maybe i can get away with even more boost due to lack of compression vs. the 5.3. Will there be a big difference in power between the 5.3 and LQ4 or will it basically eat my checkbook alive in gas money? thanks for the responses!!!

Chingon -
The point to BigTex's post is that there appears to be no difference between the LQ9 & LQ4 heads. This author Chris Endres seems to have erred in saying there are 2 different casting numbers for aluminum 6.0L heads. Everyone w/ 6.0L motors has said they have the 317 castings.

Now 6.0L aluminum heads would make excellent FI heads because they flow very well, 2nd to LS6 heads. Infact, their castings are very similar to each other. 6.0L aluminum heads have large combustion chambers which create lower compression. So you end up w/ a low CR and high-flow.
