Default LQ9 into Silverado?

Newbe here. I have a 03 escalade 6.0L it includes the wiring, computer, exhast, intake, and exesories. Im interested in putting it into my 2000 Silverado that curently has a 5.3L. My two main questions on this is one, Can I just plug the cadilac computer into the harness in my truck? If not Ill have to have the truck computer burned right? And two, I dont want to have the change the exhaust up. Can I run the manifolds that came on the 6.0 to the stock exhaust? If not What will I need to do? I dont want to do anything too custom.

Thanks for the advice.

For those that are in the know, is there any thing esle that Im over looking? The engines both came with 4L60E's behind them. Both have EGR. Just dont what to have over looked anything if I tear down my DD.

computer wont work. 03 wiring is different then the 00- if it was the same i woudl of used the SSS computer to fire my setup. you best bet is to do what i did. swap over all sensors then drop it into your chassis. use your mainfolds for the easiest possibly way. your 5.3 computer will run the 6.0 HO

I was told by the dealership that the ports on the manifolds are smaller on the 5.3L so I should use them. Is this true?

Why would I need to change all the sencers? Do the newer ones have different plugs? Is there any disadvantage to running the 5.3 intake? Are the injectors the same size as the HO 6.0?

Thanks

Injectors and sensors should be the same. Just run whichever ones have the lowest miles. Intake is nearly identical except the escalade intake doesnt have an EGR hole. I think the 6.o has a slightly different flange on one of the manifolds. Use which ever ones fit your exhaust.

My 6.0 does have egr. Does this mean that my motor is older than 03?

Yes, that means its older than an 02 even. In fact, no escalade came with EGR, so its very likely not the high output 6L motor. Not that it matters much. It should be just fine as long as it has aluminum heads. If it has iron heads ..... (search for iron heads 6L on this site).

The head casting # is 317. The motor was pulled from an escalade. I saw pics of the motor in the vehicle. It has the corect engine cover with the cadillac emblem. Im pretty sure its a HO 6.0

I could post pics of the motor if there is something that would help to ID it.
