LQ9 versus 2002+ Z06 cam specs
Does anyone have the LQ9 cam specs? I found the Z06 cam specs and haven't been successful in locating the LQ9 specs.
Thanks
Sorry guys, I must have been doing something wrong in the search function. I found this info posted by Witt1 a while back.
LQ9 cam specs are .479/.467,207/196,116.LM7 or 5.3 cam specs are .466/.457,190/191,114.You might see some performance increase, but I doubt it would sound very different.Any horsepower increase would be in the 4400-5800rpm range,I don't think you'd lose any bottomend power, but I doubt you would see more than a 5-7hp increase on a stock engine. You can do much better with an aftermarket cam.
Thanks

LQ9 cam is the same as a 01-02 f-body and a LQ4 196/207,116,.497/.467.When I gave you the specs before I was reading them directly from Christopher P.Endres book Chevy LS1/LS6 Performance.I typed the specs as they appear in the book only he shows the exhaust duration before the intake,it's marked in the book, but I evidently failed to make that clear in my post.Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
