Default LS! into a dinosour

I have a buddy that asked me an intresting question. He has a 93 1500 Z71 and he wants to put a 2001 LS1 into his truck. I know that they are both 350 motors but will the swap be just like mine was on my newer truck?????

Unfortunately all we can find right now is an LS1 and his motor is tired and old if i could find a new tranny and a 6.0 he would more likely go for that idea

and while he was waiting on the 6l80 he could have found a 6.0! should be a sweet addition thought, hopefully his weight wont hold him back to much
