damn that sounds wicked!!! too bad there isnt any room for an air filter - TB almost touches the radiator!

for the money and power I would have done a turbo upgrade on the factory motor, instead of an lsx swap... too heavy and other than an *** load of juice, I dont think you could fit any turbos or superchargers in that engine bay.

Nice proof of concept but like USABG said, there is so much you can do with the stock forged 2.5L that a swap is kind of silly.

Nice looking swap and it sounds nasty but why an LQ4? He probably just added 200lbs over the nose of the car to save a few bucks. It seems like an aluminum block LS2 would be a better platform for a WRX.

LS-2 to LQ-4 is a 90 pound difference based on the motor alone. Then the accesories vary a bit maybe 10 pounds from various cars to the truck set-up, but it looks like he used some sort of custom type set-up or a Corvette to get them that low.

I would of kept the stock motor, and built a bigger turbo system. The AWD is what makes Subarus worth the price you pay. I rode in a friend at works Legacy or what ever the WRX is based off with a few suspension pieces. Damn that thing would hold the rode like a fat people hold a burrito. So I can only imagine how the tubo would be.

None the less the work looks great, and it sounds plan bad ***.

just to let you know....buying a stock motor to replace the blown engine that was in the car when it was bought....would have cost more money.....and a STi swap would have been twice as much....He had $750 in the wrx when he bought it....

and about not fitting an intake......check the description beside the video.....
